I rather eat cardboard than New Mac and cheese
It was great once, but the bean counters cheapened it to something my dog wouldn't eat. raise the price and bring back old recipe, bad business.
Pasta disintegrates even when cooked as directed
I used to love kraft macaroni and cheese. However, in the last year, it has become borderline inedible.
No matter how precisely the cooking directions are followed, there is so much starch in the pasta that the water it is cooked in turns a completely opaque white that looks like milk...I cannot even see the noodles as I stir them. Then, once they are finished cooking, they completely disintegrate and turn into a disgusting paste that is devoid of any texture. Further, even if I am able to salvage the noodles, the cheese powder tastes of absolutely nothing. All I can ever taste now is the milk and butter I added myself.
This has to be a massive change in the recipe...this goes beyond changing one or two ingredients.
This seems to me that the majority of the recipe must have been changed and, as a result, this product is the last thing in the entire grocery store that would go into my cart. I cannot stomach it any longer.
User's recommendation: completely and totally avoid this product, the store brand is often better.

Have had no contact at all
I opened 4 boxes of Kraft mac and cheese to find these worm-like creatures (big) in these boxes. I'm very disgusted and angry. I'm considering filing a lawsuit unless you convince me otherwise.
- Used to be good
- Disgusted by these worms
Preferred solution: Full refund

It seems you have changed your noodle recipe. I had to throw the first box away because they turned out mushy and gross. The second batch I had to undercook and they still taste not the same they don't puff up the same not impressed with the new noodles
User's recommendation: Not recommended. Cook less or they are mushy

Verified ReviewerBad Mac and cheese
The Mac and cheese has gone downhill. The water turned to a paste and stuck to the bottom immediately.
It was super thick and starchy the entire cook.
I cant even strain it when it should have been done. It looks disgusting
- Use to be good
- Not good anymore
Preferred solution: Just fix it and make it like you use to.
User's recommendation: Don’t buy

Verified ReviewerBad change on recipes
Eat/loved mac n cheese for years. And pretty much every day.
Spirals, shells, etc. But they changed everything. Why make the pasta so much smaller??? It seriously changes it all.
I don't even buy it anymore. Even Campbell's tomato soup added some sweetener. Nasty, I'll never buy that again.
But why have something that does good, tastes good and change it?!?!?! Ridiculous.
- Noodles to small
Preferred solution: Make it like you used to. Larger noodles and more cheese.
User's recommendation: Sorry you didn’t get to try it when it was the best…also add a bag of shredded cheese to it now if you want to make better
Trash
tastes so bad I cant even put it into words, I never tasted anything in my life as bad as powdered cheese.

Mushy, Inedible, Noodles disintegrate
Alright, what the heck?? I've been making Kraft Mac n cheese for years and it has always been one of my favorite, simple and easy comfort meals.
But for the past 1 - 2 years, the noodles quality has been absolutely TERRIBLE. If you cook it for the time it says on the box, the noodles practically disintegrate into a really disgusting mushy mess. I've tried cooking the noodles less, but even at 4 minutes, the noodles somehow turn out both crunchy and undercooked and soggy, mushy, and overdone. This is ridiculous.
I got a five pack of the boxes and cooked each one a different way, trying to get at least ONE to turn out correctly. Well, it didn't. Every. Single.
Box. Turned into gross inedible mush. I don't know what's up with Kraft's quality control, but they are quite literally selling an inedible product 9/10ths of the time.
Please, just get the store brand Mac n cheese. It really upsets me just how much the quality has gone downhill.
User's recommendation: Skip Kraft Macaroni Products, buy store brand Macaroni, unless you want disgusting mushy food.

Verified ReviewerBad quality
I've recently started cooking for only 3 minutes and that still turns the mood to mush. What happened to the recipe??
I used to cook this for 8 minutes to get it just how I liked it and now I have to consider cooking it for less than 3 minutes??
That's not normal for pasta. Change it back to the old recipe when it was still able to be cooked and edible
- Used to be delicious
- Quality went down

Noodles shred apart. Not as cheesy as before.
Biggest problem is noodles shred apart once starting to mix ingredients. Not as much cheese flavor as once had.
Hey Kraft, stop trying to save a penny(you already did that with shrink-flation) and bring back the original recipe.
User's recommendation: Make your own or find another vendor.

Verified ReviewerExtreme displeasure with the changed product. Is not even a good imitation of former product, which was a staple in American households.
Big food corporations not going to care what older, loyal customers think or want; they just care about selling product to younger consumers who are less observant or critical. I do not expect they will care a hoot that many of us DO know the negative changes. But thank you for the platform to vent. It doesn’t FIX anything, but helps a tiny bit while we search for a more palatable product… just sad, that’s all.
Even the macaroni is lacking in substance and too quickly becomes mush like, not holding shape, even when following package directions exactly.
Three generations of this family enjoyed the original product, but this present version is not acceptable.
Why in world would you take a super popular product and so diminish, destroy it? Is this yet another example of American corporate greed that you have found a way to make it more cheaply?
My family misses the original, but will no longer buy the current version

Verified ReviewerNoodles falling apart
My Mac n cheese noodles lately have been shredding n falling apart. I cooked them to the exact time and it was almost mush, 2nd time I cooked them for 2 minutes less than what the box stated(7.5mins) so I cooked them for 5 and SAME THING. I know how to cook mac n cheese yet they're falling apart like I'm over cooking them whether I follow the 7mins 30secs or even 5mins n 30secs...what the heck is going on?!?!
User's recommendation: Beware they aren't cooking right

I'm having the same experience, and I cook it the same way every time. I've even tried undercooking it a bit, and the macaroni is still falling apart. It was a sudden change that started about 4 boxes ago : /
